THE PRINCIPLE ACTIVITIES
The main task of Glafo is to work with the melting process, i.e. the chain from raw material to completed glass. Within this process we can carry on studies, try new ideas and increase knowledge about glass from the chemical, physical and material science perspectives.

We also work with refining and other methods applicable to glass.

It is important to know that every change of the raw material composition affects the glass.

Some raw materials can increase the density and refractive index. Others change the crystallisation and some change the viscosity and the thermal expansion.
