SPA - ALTERNATIVES TO ACID POLISHING OF ART GLASS – PRELIMINARY STUDY


The aim is to survey polishing methods used in the various glass and metal industries to find whether any of these can be developed as a replacemeent for acid polishing of art glass.

The preliminary study will comprise a study of the literature to chart and evaluate the methods (acid, flame, laser, mechanical etc) used to polish glass and metal. These will be complemented with study visits.
