TRANSFER OF COMPETENCE TO STUDIO GLASSWORKS (PR 435)

During 1999, Glafo had a project focussing on the Swedish studio glassworks. This will continue for two more years, 2000 and 2001.

Training and contact forum
Potential areas for further co-operation are training and Glafo acting as a contact forum.

Current training areas of interest are:
- general knowledge on glass
- annealing/matching/colour
- pot furnaces
- glass defects and
- environmental aspects

Seminar series

During 2000 we will:
- develop five training modules for seminars
- arrange five seminars adapted for studio glassworks
- offer support for Glafo membership and technical assistance

The topic for the first seminar held in May 26-27, 2000 was pot furnaces.

During 2001 we will:
- develop a second series of seminars
- offer continued technical and membership support.

CURRENT PROJECTS
