GLAFO'S ORGANISATION
Glafo AB is a part of SP - the Technical Research Institute of Sweden. It carries out R&D and offers consultancy services and educational programmes within the field of glass. Glafo AB is jointly owned by SP and its stakeholder organisation, the Glass Research Association, Glafo.

The majority of the Association's members manufacture glass, such as art glass, domestic wares, container glass, sheet glass, and glass and stone wool for insulation purposes. Some of the members are suppliers of materials and plant.

The Glass Research Association submits proposals for the composition of Glafo’s board of directors. In addition, through its own board or representatives of private companies, the Association is able to keep Glafo’s management informed of the areas of research that the member companies deem to be important at any one time.
