MEMBERS
The members together make up the Glass Research Association, Glafo, which is a part-owner of Glafo. The main business of the Association is to promote R&D and education and to disseminate knowledge and practical applications in glass technology and related fields with a view to boosting the competitive ability of the industry as a whole.

The members are companies and organisations active in or associated with the glass industry and companies with whom they cooperate. Most come from the Nordic countries, although Europe and the United States are represented as well. These include manufacturers of hand-made crystal, container glass, sheet glass, fibreglass and mineral wool.

Members pay an annual research fee intended to provide some of the funding for the research, knowledge dissemination and services made available by Glafo for the benefit of the members.

WE CAN HELP YOU WITH...
As a member, you can employ us as consultants for statements or analyses in the entire field of glass technology, e.g. raw materials, batch homogeneity, the founding process, furnace technology, annealing, stresses, glass composition, glass quality and environmental issues.

MEMBERSHIP FEE
The membership fee is based on the number of production units operated by the group. The parent company pays one share, the next two units each pay half a share, while further units pay a one-quarter share. The maximum payable is five shares per group/member.
