Glafo - the Glass Research Institute is situated in Växjö in the southern part of Sweden close to the Kingdom of Crystal.

We are working internationally with research, development, education and technical support.

MEMBERS
Glafo is a member organisation with members from glassworks, processors of glass, users of glass and suppliers of glass raw material from Europe.

PARTNERS
To stimulate and strengthen the network between our members from different countries we take an active part in international exchange and co-operation.

NGF and GLASTEKNISK TIDSKRIFT
Glafo administers NGF (The Scandinavian Society of Glass Technology). From 2003 we publish articles in the Virtual Glasteknisk tidskrift formerly known as the printed journal "Glasteknisk tidskrift"

By plane
Växjö airport is situated about 10 minutes by car from the city centre. There is a bus from the airport via the centre to the Linnaeus University. The timetable is adjusted to all flight connections to and from Stockholm on weekdays. Also on Sundays and holidays there are certain bus connections.

By train
The train station is situated in the city centre. From there bus No. 7 leaves for the university. Bus No. 1 and No. 5 go to Teleborg Centrum, which is situated some hundred meters from the university.

There is a train connection from the airport in Copenhagen (Kastrup) to Växjö, which takes approx. 2,5 hours.

By car
There are signs with "Linnéuniversitetet" at all approaches to Växjö. Visitors to Glafo can register at Vidéums reception to obtain free parking at the permission required parking. Proceed through the reception through the other doors to get to Glafo.
