ON THE GLASS RESEARCH ASSOCIATION GLAFO
The Glass Research Association Glafo's members own 40 % of Glafo AB, with the remaining 60 % being owned by SP Technical Research Institute of Sweden.

The association's main purpose is to support research, development and training in the glass industry, in order to increase the industry's competitiveness.

In front through development
The Glass Research Association Glafo supports its members through access to custom development facilities at Glafo AB. In return, Glafo AB can build up a picture of the member needs, thus enabling it to formulate strategically important and relevant research and development projects.

Custom research is of course carried out under full commercial confidentiality, so that members can use Glafo as an external development department. Members can, for example, obtain assistance with investigations large or small, with development work, with quality management or with urgent problemsolving.

A network for development
As a full member of the Association, member companies can directly influence the direction of strategic research and development carried out by Glafo AB. Through Glafo AB, members also obtain access to a wide network of contacts, national and international, in the research world, in business and with public authorities.

The Glass Research Association Glafo itself is already a network of companies, concentrating on working areas that individual companies may have difficulty in tackling. Working together makes it possible to take a more long-term approach to more visionary development and research challenges. The cooperation with other members effectively enhances each individual company's own resources - something that can be important for the company's future market positions.
